Michael Joseph Conroy, father and grandfather of the current directors of M. J. CONROY & SONS LTD, formed the business in 1932.

The Company has grown considerably over the years and carries out construction and fit out work with its staff having a vast experience in commercial, industrial and pharmaceutical construction techniques along with fit-out contracts of both commercial and industrial facilities, working alongside many Architectural and Engineering firms.

The Company Management operates out of the firm's office in Ballinrobe, Co. Mayo, just 30 minutes from Galway City. Senior management are qualified in construction management, quantity surveying and business administration techniques such as financial management and information technology.

M. J. Conroy's employ a workforce both skilled and experienced in the construction industry with specialist skills being subcontracted out when required.

The firm has in recent years been incorporated and is accredited with ISO 9002 quality assurance certification.

In the most recent past, the company has secured Siebel Systems, one of the fastest growing companies in the United States as a tenant at its newly constructed modern office block at the IDA Business Park at Dangan, Galway. Subsequently, the firm was awarded the fit out contract of the office block for the US firm; the global leader in providing Web based Office Systems for sales, marketing and customer services.
